Gun violence is a big issue facing Americans. Guns in public areas make our nation unsafe. There have already been 4,764 gun deaths this year (last checked 5/7/2019). Every day about 342 people are shot. Out of those people, 96 are killed from being shot. This is a problem and sadly our government has done nothing more to help. Just because killing people is illegal doesn’t mean people will stop. Many children are afraid to go to s chool because of the possibility of a shooting.
